Tandoori typically refers to a mixture of spices (masala) specifically for use with a tandoor, or clay oven, in traditional cooking in the Indian subcontinent. The specific spices vary somewhat from one region to another but typically include: garam masala, garlic, ginger, onion, cayenne pepper, and sometimes other spices and/or additives. This is our take on a traditional Indian seasoning with a Moroccan twist! It's infused with the spiciness of cumin, coriander, garlic, and black pepper, giving it a bold flavor for chicken, fish, lamb, or steaks. In many dishes, the protein is covered with (or marinated in) a mixture of plain yogurt and tandoori spices. Moroccan Tandoori Seasoning can also be a great companion to soups, casseroles, sauces, marinades, lentils, vegetable bakes, and delicate egg dishes.
